Alpha Lipoic acid is a compound in the body which is synthesized in small quantities and which can also be supplemented by food and other sources. It is similar to a vitamin; it contains sulphur and is important for energy reactions. It can be found in yeast, liver, spinach, organ meats, broccoli, red meat and red potatoes.
