- 1). Write a list of all monthly bills incurred to support the recruiting efforts. This list should include any office rent, utility bills, Internet access, office supplies and professional membership dues. Add these figures together to calculate overhead costs.
- 2). Average the cost of any external recruiting conducted per month. This calculation should include advertising fees for openings, job fairs, promotional materials and monthly fees for job boards.
- 3). Add together the totals of overhead, external recruiting costs and any salary or commission paid during the reporting period. The result is the recruiter desk cost.
