- 1). Choose a concept for a preschool book. Create a book about colors, letters or a classroom theme. Decide the number of pages you will need to make the book. Count out enough pieces of card stock for each page of the book.
- 2). Make each page of the book. Cut letters of the alphabet from construction paper to glue to individual pages for a letter book. Use a marker to write a word that begins with each letter directly below the letter on the page. Cut and glue a circle, square and other shapes to pages if you choose to make a shape book. Write the name of the shape beneath it. Modify the concept --- choosing a picture or representation with a corresponding word printed underneath --- for any book theme.
- 3). Make a cover for your preschool book. Write a title and glue a picture to the cover. Decorate the back cover or leave it blank.
- 4). Laminate the pages and the front and back cover. Trim the edges.
- 5). Stack the pages of the book in order. Place the front cover on top and the back cover on the bottom. Punch three evenly spaced holes, 1-inch into the left side of the book.
- 6). Slide the book rings through the punched holes and snap them closed.
