It is a natural part of our culture, so it makes perfect sense to use this technique when you are letting others know about what you are doing in your online business.

I discovered the power of storytelling quite by accident.
In one of my emails to my list I told the story of how I got started online.
People wrote to me and told me how much that story meant to them.
They said they felt they could relate to my story about getting started on the internet and that they wanted to know more.
I soon realized that people resonated with stories.
People will also remember your stories much more than any other type of information you might give them.
If you can tell a story to get someone to understand what you are talking about, they will be more likely to be able to put the information to use.
As children we became accustomed to hearing the adults around us tell stories.
We even ask them to tell the stories over and over again so we can memorize them.
This becomes a comfortable way for us to remember and make sense of our world.
It makes perfect sense for us to use this same concept when we relate to people as adults.
By telling them a story about how our product or service will help them to achieve their goals, our prospects will feel more comfortable and want to do business with us.
