Nasal congestion is very common disease now a days. Various medicines are availabe in the market for the treatment of this problem. Sudafed is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of Nasal congestion. This medication is most trusted and recommended by the doctor. The main ingredient of this medicine is Pseudoephedrine HCl. Before switching to this medicine you should inform to your doctor or health care professional if you are taking any prescription, non prescription and herbal medicine. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it or to its ingredients. Special care is to be needed if you are patient of high blood pressure,  heart blood vessel disease and improper heart beat.

The dosage recommended for this medicine is 2 pills every 4 hours and maximum dose can be 8 pills each 24 hours. Sudafed should be taken with a full glass of water, with food. It is so to avoid stomach irritation. As it is a prescription medicine, so it should be taken as  prescribe by the doctor. Store Sudafed at room temperature away from light, heat and moisture. Keep this medicine in the dry place. This medicine also has some common to serious side effect. Keep this medication away from the reach of the children and pet.
