- 1). Visit the official USPS website at USPS.com.
- 2). Click on the "Household" link by the top left side of the page.
- 3). Click on the large icon that says "Change your address online." This image is located to the far right top corner of the web page.
- 4). Click on the large arrow that says "Cick here to begin" after you have read the site's terms and services.
- 5). Choose "Permanent" if you will not be returning to your old address or "Temporary" if you will be changing addresses again after a short period of time.
- 6). Fill in the "Start forwarding date" section. This will be the date your mail begins to forward to the new address.
- 7). Choose the type of forwarding you require--individual, family or business.
- 8). Enter in your old address and other personal information as requested, followed by the new forwarding address. Enter a valid e-mail address to receive important change of address notifications.
- 9). Enter in your credit card number. You will be charged a $1 identify verification fee and a verification of your address change.
