- In the room-escape game Escape the Lab, you find yourself trapped inside a laboratory armed with a chemical bomb. Through newspaper clippings and journal entries, you learn that a mysterious virus has infected several people and that your husband is likely responsible. Before you can make your escape, you need to collect evidence to implicate your husband, figure out how to disarm the bomb and find the pass-code to unlock the laboratory door.
- In the office scene, the painting behind the desk conceals a safe. A clue to the safe's combination can be found in the journal in the second drawer of the desk, which is locked. The key for the desk is also hidden within this scene. The first journal entry mentions the birthday of a person named Joshua, and the date of this entry is the safe's combination. When entering the combination, turn the dial to the left for the first digit, to the right for the second digit and to the left for the third digit; then click on the dial to open the safe. Here you'll find the evidence that incriminates your husband.
- On this safe, the lock contains the letters of the alphabet. To figure out the password, you'll need two items: graphite shavings from the pencil sharpener on the desk and a brush, which is one screen to the right inside a cabinet that has been welded shut. To open the cabinet, use the sulfuric acid located inside the can with the bio-hazard symbol. After you've collected these items, you'll use them to find fingerprints on the safe's keys. Use the graphite on the safe's letter keys and then the brush to dust away the graphite. Fingerprints will appear on five keys; unscramble the letters to form a word and enter it to open the floor safe.
- The screen featuring the exit door also contains a chemical bomb that must be disarmed before you can exit. Using the screwdriver from the desk drawer that held the journal, you can remove a panel from the bomb and expose a series of wires. The bomb's manual inside the floor safe lists the order in which the wires in the bomb are connected in order to arm it; to disarm the bomb, the wires have to be cut in reverse order. In the white wastebasket located one screen to the right, a piece of paper explains which color wire corresponds to each function listed in the manual; by cross-referencing these two hints, you can determine the proper order for cutting the wires to disarm the bomb.
- Before leaving the lab, you must concoct an anti-virus to save the lives of the people who've been infected with the Mortevin virus. A note inside the floor safe describes the two solutions that must be combined to create the cure. Find the vials holding the solutions in the cabinet above the workspace and combine them in the device resting on the table.
- The final puzzle is the numerical keypad on the exit door. A book on the top shelf of the bookcase labeled "Director's Notebook" contains a four-digit number and a three-digit number, which, entered in sequence, allow you to unlock the door and escape from the lab.
