Holiday parties can be well planned and long anticipated ones or they can be those things that just come up out of nowhere.
You could either be attending a party or suddenly find yourself hosting one because the PTA moms insist on sampling your plum pudding.
Either ways, the holidays is a time when you have to be prepared for everything and anything and that includes skating accidents and random holiday get-togethers with complete strangers.
Make an event calendar.
Never rely on your memory to get you to all the holiday parties that you've been invited to.
Not going to a holiday party is relationship damage that can take years to overcome.
Make sure you RSVP to anything that requires you to do that.
It's generally a good practice since knowing how many people are attending a party can really help the host/ hostess.
Whether you have a party or you go to one, Christmas is a time when people will expect gifts so don't forget party favors if you're hosting a party and if you're attending one make sure you get something for the host/ hostess.
Don't go for wine or champagne bottles, because it's what everyone gets and people have specific tastes when it comes down to either of these two drinks and the last thing you want is for people to be judging your taste.
Go with something simple and sweet like chocolate covered fruit.
Take a box of white chocolate covered strawberries and dark chocolate strawberries for the host/hostess or buy them in smaller quantities for party favors.
