How to Fix Pinprick Holes in a Pool

    • 1). Drain the pool, if possible, and scrub the area around the hole with nail polish remover or a vinyl cleaning product.

    • 2). Cut a round or oval piece of vinyl patching material and apply vinyl glue to one side of it. Never cut a shape with any sharp corners, as these will often cause the patch to peel. Apply glue to the area around the leak as well, if you managed to drain the pool.

    • 3). Apply the patch to the pinprick hole on the inside of the pool and wait for three minutes. Smooth out the patch with your fingers, pushing any air bubbles out to the edges, and wait for ten more minutes. Smooth out the patch one more time.
