5 Sneaky Ways to Ignite Your Online Sales Copy

The techniques in this article may be frowned upon by some, however you must understand how business works, the internet is no different and in some cases can be even harder due to the fact you have so little time to catch your prospects attention they are 1 click away from going to your competitors never to be seen again.
Your goal is to grab your prospect by the short and curlies make them sit up and listen to what your product or affiliate product will do to solve a problem they have.

Ask questions in your sales copy that have a yes or no answers if they start thinking so what or who cares you will lose them.
If you can stir strong emotion with your questions and remind them of the pain they feel the more they will want the solution (your product) they will be falling over themselves to hit that order button.

Run a contest on your sales copy, this is even more powerful if you have an email list you can drive them to the sales page.
What you do is offer a prize to the first 5 people who can spot five spelling mistakes in your copy, make sure you do have 5 spelling mistakes and spread them evenly throughout the copy.
People love competitions especially if the prize is something they want, more importantly you are getting them to read the whole sales page usually more than once because they want to win.

Get a well known person/ expert in your market to do an endorsement/ testimonial on your product.
This is common practise in tv advertisements, big companies spend thousands even millions getting celebrities to endorse their products the simple reason it works.
It's a lot easier than you might think even if you run a small business because it gets exposure for them and confirms their expert status (hint: flattery will get you everywhere).

Have a picture of yourself on the sales page.
You must gain the visitors trust as quickly as possible a picture of yourself does 2 things.
First it shows you stand behind your product and that you have nothing to hide.
Second it adds the personal touch, in the faceless world of the internet putting a face to the name gives credibility and a sense of trust.
Faster internet connections has introduced video which has put this technique on steroids and is something you seriously need to consider.

When offering bonuses put a monetary value next to the name of the bonus, be aware use a realistic figure otherwise it will loose the trust and do more harm than good.
I see far too often people saying the bonuses are worth thousands when the main product is $47 you are insulting the visitors intelligence making claims like that resulting in lost credibility and probably a lost sale.
