The Necessary First Step to Help You Overcome the Symptoms of Eczema

Concerning your struggle with overcoming eczema, when was the last time your doctor told you, "Your body was designed to heal itself, if given the right tools.
" My guess would be that you probably have never heard those words come from your doctor's lips.
My question to you is, "Why not?" Why has your doctor not told you that your red itchy eczema is a symptom of an underlying issue? What if I told you that the key to overcoming your eczema would mean embracing it as a friend rather than seeing it as the enemy? Before you write me off as crazy, let me explain.
First, let me tell you, I know what it is like to have your itchy inflamed skin drive you nuts.
For years, I would literally wake up in the middle of night finding myself scraping my hand and fingers on the side of my wrought iron bed until they bleed.
As a father, I know that horrible helpless feeling when your child comes to you with his hands and wrists inflamed because of his eczema.
So why then would I tell you to embrace the symptoms of your eczema as a friend in order to overcome it? It is because your itchiness and red spots are actually the tools that your body uses to let it know that something is wrong.
They serve as a warning, it is literally the way your body says "WARNING -Take Heed!" Think about when you drive your car.
You're just driving around, minding your own business, when all of the sudden you see the "check engine" light come on.
The light isn't the enemy, it's your friend! It is giving you a "heads up" warning that something is wrong and you need to check it.
That's your cars way of telling you that a problem is brewing, and you need to take the time to check it out.
The itchiness and red spots of eczema act as our check engine light, it is an indicator and warning that something needs attention and that we need to make the time to check it out.
Going back to our example, what if you were driving around, your check engine light started flashing, and instead of pulling over and looking under the hood, you simply reach over and grab some duct tape out of your glove box and put some tape over the blinking light.
What happens then? If you were just wanting to treat the "symptom", then you did it: you don't have to see the light anymore.
But has it really done anything to solve the problem? Obviously the answer is 'No, absolutely not'.
In fact, by ignoring the warning signs, you will actually make the problem worse! Itchiness and red scaling skin is not your enemy - they are a warning sign that something is wrong, that there is an underlying issue that needs to be resolved.
Therefore, stop just putting "duct tape" over the symptoms of your eczema.
They shouldn't be avoided; they should be heeded and immediately addressed if you truly want to overcome the symptoms of your eczema forever!
