I gave my ten year old son the Pro Flight Simulator as one of his Chistmas presents and to say he is overwhelmed would be an understatement! It is difficult to get him away from the game. There were a few problems with setting the game up, but once we went
through the manuals, these were mostly explained. And again today, I have received a response from their help desk on a particular issue. So both my son and I are thrilled with this flight controller and it promises to provide hours of fun. Now I would like to go
onto another popular computer game- the Starcraft 2 zerg.
I want to share two of my opinions about the Starcraft 2 zerg strategy with you. First the important difference between a 14 Hatch fast expansion and pool first build orders. Secondly, the reason why you should take a look at a Joana's StarCraft 2 guide review.
If you are playing Zerg you have to know which build order to use against which opponent. Especially after the last patch a lot of Zerg player started going for a Hatchery first play. Their thought process was, that with the Reapers gone the Terran could not longer kill them early on.
Unfortunately Reapers were not the only threat for the Hatch first play - two Barrack rushes are also deadly. You see, if you build your Hatchery first and then your Spawning pool the pool will be out late. That means an aggressive Terran player will have enough time to prepare a little army.
If you are on a big map, going for the 14 Hatch is an option. A lot of Zerg pro gamer use a 14 Hatch in every game since they are able to defend with their micro ability. But it's still a gamble and resulted in a lot of lost matches.
That's the Terran tactic to beat you. By neglecting gas completely the Terran build two very fast Barrracks. Most often they just build them at the choke point to their main base. But sometimes they build them even closer to your own base. They hide them somewhere on the map to attack you even faster.
But the most dangerous thing is that Terrans take almost all SVCs to cover their Marines. How can this strategy work? Even without any SCV mining the Terran can still keep up his economy by using MULEs from his Orbital Command. That's why good Terrans take about
6 or more workers with them when they attack.
The reason that you should take a look at a Joana's StarCraft 2 guide review is obvious. The meta-game changes all the time. By looking at the 14 Hatch example you see how fast new strategies become obsolete. Online StarCraft guides help you to be up-to-date and provide you with strategies and counter that are used right about now.
