Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrations featured representatives from around the British Empire, including troops from Hong Kong.
At the 1897 Diamond Jubilee celebrations for Queen Victoria, a theme was the growth of the British Empire during her 60-year reign. Representatives from distant reaches of the British Empire arrived in London to great fanfare, and troops from distant colonies participated in the celebrations.
