The physical plane of existence is one of the seven planes of existence that define the reality of the universe. This signifies that there are seven levels on the spectrum of creation. Three of these planes are ordinal or concrete, three are abstract and the one is neutral. These planes of existence overlap with one another in their hierarchy, each vibration is higher than the last and each plane of existence has its own set of goals. Of these planes of existence, the previously mentioned plane has the slowest speed of vibration. Of all the planes of existence, the most ordinal is the physical. This means that this plane is made up of concrete energy. The most cardinal plane of existence mirrors it.
This mirroring of the different planes of existence balances the universe. The higher planes encompass pure energies such as love and truth while the lower planes are associated with the manifestation of these pure energies. The physical plane of existence is the densest among the seven planes and put simply, it is the plane where humans reside. Defined further, the physical plane refers to energy and matter, the physical universe and the visible reality of space and time. It is said that the main reason for human's existence in the physical plane is for them to grasp the concept of positive and negative coexisting with one another and to witness how light and darkness work together.
It is the only place where observation of darkness and negativity is possible without the risk of causing damage for it is this plane that is in the most diluted form. Matter in all its forms exist in the physical plane. Like all the other planes of existence, the physical plane consists of another seven sub-planes or degrees of matter density. A typical human being is only capable of seeing and perceiving two of these seven sub-planes. These two sub-planes are solid matter and liquid. A human being can usually perceive solid matter as long as it is not very finely sub-divided; liquid can also be seen. Gaseous matter is an example of a physical plane sub-plane that is not normally seen by the human eye. There may be exemptions however like when the gas is brilliantly colored or when it is very dense and when it moves in a certain manner. As far as sight is concerned, humans are almost unconscious on perceiving these sub-planes but vibrations may sometimes make perception possible. There are levels of the physical plane that are higher and lower in frequency than the human body.
Though most humans are unable to see these levels, people with psychic skills are said to be able to perceive them. Although non-physical aspects cannot be normally seen, humans can translate the nonphysical perceptions into physical images. It is often claimed that most humans are born, live and die on the physical plane without even being aware of the existence of other higher planes. However, experts in this field believe that with the proper knowledge and abilities it is possible to leave the physical plane of existence and explore the other planes out there.
