- 1). Call 911 if you notice any emergency afflicting a child or adult. Do not call the DCFS unless the child is not in immediate risk.
- 2). Call the Illinois DCFS Child Abuse Hotline. Follow the verbal prompts until you get to a live person and inform them of the alleged abuse. You will most likely need to provide them with an address and names of persons involved. Do not be afraid to call if you do not know all the information, give them as much information as you have.
- 3). Call the Missing Child Helpline if you notice the child is missing or ran away possibly to abuse.
