As an executive with a big worldwide corporation, Dan (not his actual name so as to safeguard his secret identity) was on a domestic flight returning from a symposium for multi-national companies on disaster and emergency preparedness when his airplane was unexpectedly hit by a violent lightning storm. Dan was exposed to a huge rise of electromagnetic impulses through his in-flight audio earphones. Little did Dan understand at that very minute his journey to become the next 'ultimate' travel survivor, your everyday Super Action Hero, had actually just begun...

Extreme 'Holiday' Adventure # 1

Dan was in an aisle seat and close to an exit, and thankfully found himself to be one of the very first passengers to get out and far away from the aircraft. Numerous others were not as fortunate. The spectacle of the airplane exploding into a fireball with travelers still trapped inside is something that still makes his left eye jerk wildly.

About a week later, Dan was going through another post-traumatic anxiety bout while on a crowded train to work. He discovered that anything that moved quickly, or if he saw someone wearing a pair of audio headphones, was spinning him out lately.

Trying to manage the nervous spasm in his left eye, he glimpsed down to see a paperback lying on the floor. Picking it up he saw that it had actually been well thumbed through and started to read it himself...

It was a mysterious book containing the secret to living as an 'ultimate' survivor, prepared for any eye-popping, 'there goes a wonderful holiday', natural disaster or emergency situation making use of a powerful and easy action strategy.

And Dan couldn't read quickly enough... the way of thinking of the 'ultimate' backpack survivor is so efficient and freeing, that it takes a person on a journey of awareness that not many ever experience. It took him only an hour to check out the book from cover to cover. He skipped work that day, which he didn't mind, as they were presenting an advertising strategy to 'that' airline for an improved and more secure in-flight audio earphone set.

After completing the mysterious book, Dan started to live every day in the mind-set of an 'ultimate' survivor. Then strangely, he began to experience a tingling feeling throughout his whole body and he could quickly see in the distance an occasional flash of yellow light...

Two days later it happened. Without fully recognizing it, he was living completely in the mind-set of the 'ultimate' holiday survivor. Then - wham! It hit him forcefully; a deep tingling throughout his whole body followed by a blinding explosion of yellow light that completely surrounded him. The force of the encounter knocked him unconscious, and for some inexplicable reason he had been eerily drawn into a telephone booth at the time...

When Dan regained consciousness, he found some extremely unusual things had happened to him, the extreme tingling in his body had disappeared and was replaced by an irresistible sense of power, and every time he stretched out his right-hand a flash of highly charged, very bright yellow electromagnetic light would leap out.

Realisation of what had taken place to his body came swiftly. Dan had become the next 'ultimate' backpacker survivor, today's action hero. He had checked out their bold and extreme vacation journeys in the papers, but apart from that, hardly anything had been found out about this exceptionally specialised band of action heroes.

Now all that remained for Dan to do was choose his Action Hero title and his specialised field as an action hero which came simply. He would name himself 'Electroman' and shield, and rescue all airplane holiday makers from in-flight emergency situations and plane accidents on the surface of the mother earth; his desire to serve all tourists was big, just like his muscles.

Next, he would need to apply for an Action Hero Application Form to be accepted into this band of top secret and clever super action heroes before swaggering his stuff on the world stage. Then he found the League of Ultimate Travel Survivor's in the phone book and gave them a call...
