There are several cruise lines that leave from New York for the Caribbean, but not many make it all the way to Barbados, a tiny island at the southeastern end of the Caribbean Islands. Passengers on cruises that do make it to Barbados will enjoy the multitude of beaches and the many Caribbean islands that the cruise ships stop at along the way. - Cunard Cruise Line is a luxury cruise line that travels to destinations around the world. It offers several cruises that depart from New York and make stops in Barbados along their Caribbean tour, all on the ship called Queen Mary 2. The shortest of these is 10 days long, and also includes St. Thomas, St. Lucia and Grand Turk along the way. The specific dates for these trips are set, and vary from year to year. The ship offers a long list of luxury amenities ranging from a spa to fine dining to the only planetarium offered at sea.

cunard.com - Silversea Cruises is a luxury cruise line with a small fleet of six ships. The ships are designed with the goal of making the cruise feel both comfortable and luxurious at the same time. Options like high-end suites and champagne bars are balanced with evening outdoor movie nights at the pool. Because this cruise line is based in the United Kingdom, vacations begin with a flight from the U.K. to an embarkation port, and at the end of the cruise, the ship sails directly back to the U.K. This is the case with the New York to Barbados trip, which is taken aboard the line's most high-end ship, the Silver Whisper. Stops along the way include St. Barts and Antigua, and the ship sails back to the U.K. at the end of the trip, rather than returning to New York. The cruise last 12 days.
