Regular eye checkups and diet

Proper eye care including regular eye checkup is always overlooked by individuals with good eyesight. Those people may have never been to an optometrist. And the old need to have their eyes checked more frequently.

Present now, many vision problems in their late stage can be treated by LASIK surgery. In fact, some of these services of vision care are covered by certain vision insurance plans. The overall cost of regular eye exams and vision correction devices can be high. Resorting to vision plans that offer some types of vision benefits is a good choice.

Another critical part of eye care is diet. Healthy eyes need some beneficial nutrients, including vitamins, calcium, folic acid, antioxidants and so on. These substances can help people prevent some eye problems such as cataracts and macular degeneration.
