If you're like most people, you want a nice, tasty warm bathroom...
especially once the weather starts to get chilly.
Luckily, there are many different ways to keep your bathroom warm and comfortable.
Electric floor heat, towel warmers and other options can turn your bathroom into a tranquil, comfy retreat.
How many times has this happened to you? You stumble in to the bathroom on a frosty fall morning, and crank up the shower.
You get in, and the warm water and steam surrounds you.
You start waking up, and feeling good.
And then...
it's time to get out.
And even though your heat is on, your feet hit a cold floor, and you wrap yourself in a chilly towel.
You hop from bath mat to bath mat, trying to avoid that cold shock! And the heat from your vents just isn't enough to keep you from getting goose bumps while you're going about your morning rituals.
One solution to this is to install electric floor heat.
Radiant floor heat systems are efficient, simple to put in, and surprisingly cost effective.
Infloor heating is controlled by a thermostat, just like your regular heating, that includes a sensor in the floor.
Simply set the thermostat to the temperature you want when you get in the shower, and by the time you get out your floor will be warm and comfortable to walk on...
not to mention adding to the overall warmth of the entire room.
Another option is an electric towel warmer.
These have been popular in Europe for many years.
Basically, they offer additional radiant heat for your bathroom as well as warming up (and drying) your towels.
You can get heaters that plug in and have their own thermostat, or get one hard wired and installed so it becomes a natural part of your room.
If you really want to make your bathroom an oasis, you can go even further! You can install a full body dryer...
yes, a full body dryer.
Think public bathroom hand dryer, and increase the scale! You control the heat and the power, and step in or under to dry yourself quickly and warmly.
Of, you can do a total shower upgrade and make your bathroom a steam room.
A steam generator converts your shower into a steam bath, with moist, rich heat to luxuriate in.
What about a heated toilet seat? While this may sound crazy, many people are catching on to the idea.
The great thing, of course, is that your toilet seat will stay nice and arm throughout the day, and not just when you've got the heat and steam cranked after your shower.
And if your mirror is getting fogged up with all of the steam and heat, why not install a defogger? This is simply a small, thin heater attached to the mirror back and wired to your light fixture.
Your mirror stays dry, and fog free so you don't have to open the bathroom door and let all the heat out in order to see what you're doing.
So if you want a truly spa-like bathroom that will keep you warm and toasty all year round, features such as electric floor heat and towel warmers will do the job.
How far you take it from there is up to you!
