Every Human Being Is Important - Every Child Is Important

In some cultures the expression "All that is created by God is important" is told to those who complain about some of God's creation such as bothersome insects or disease baring Rodents.
The reason behind their significance may not be clear but the principle stands unquestioned "All that is created by God is important".
If that is accepted as true, than even more value should be associated to human beings, as they were honored by God and no one human was created in vain.
Self-value is a fundamental concept, a catalyst for success and a precondition to self-improvement, as individuals who do not associate value to themselves, seldom take steps towards that end.
For an individual to achieve success in any field, self-value is essential, added to it is the notion that his existence, indeed marks a difference in the world, an idea that is essential for self-esteem.
Childhood is the ultimate time to install self-value in an individual as it is easier and faster.
A young adult for instance, will require a great effort to develop a sense of self-value, for this practice becomes more challenging in time due to accumulated negative self-image reflections that need to be uprooted first and then replaced.
Every child needs to know that he is important regardless of his skills and abilities, as the child's sense of self-value is what helps him develop skills and competencies.
In other words, it is the child's positive self-image that will encourage him to seek progression, master various skills and excel in his performance.
In the cases were the child's importance is associated to the skills he possess or the successes he enjoyed, any unsuccessful experiment or mistake will render him unimportant, such a correlation does not exist.
A child challenged by low self-value is more prone to engage in distractive or life threatening acts than his peers for he associates no value to his life.
Interviews conducted with recovering addicts cite "lack of self-value" as a motive to addiction as an unimportant life does not make a difference to anyone and thus can be shattered.
The child's sense of self-value begins at home as the child's family and parents in particular assume important roles in planting such a fundamental believe.
The perception of a child as "just a kid" or alternatively "an important person that will leave a positive mark on the world" will surly reflects on how he will be treated, this in turn, contributes to the formation of the child's sense of self-value.
Fostering a child's sense of self-value has to be in line with his acknowledgment of other people as important and valuable as well.
It is essential for him to know that he is significant to the world and so is everyone else.
This concept helps him respect others regardless of their differences and avoid offending any person or diminishing their value.
Helping a child sense his value and the value of others around him contribute to the overall human progression on earth.
Let us remind our children that they carry the breath of God as do others, and that it was not placed in them in vain.
