My Article Marketing Has Gone Wrong

Your quest to get people into your website is just like a spider's challenge of getting flies into its web.
You've both got to put all 8 arms to work to make the biggest trap they've ever seen! And even if you don't have eight arms, you can just work on getting your articles posted on 800 other sites, each conveniently linking back to your own.
This way of article marketing is one of the best to not only drive targeted traffic right into your clutches, but build credibility as someone that others go to for information on whatever your specialty is.
The first thing to do is to make sure that all of your basics are in place.
Spelling, grammar, punctuation, all those multi-colored squiggly lines that your word processor has thrown in should be weeded out.
Next make sure everything is clearly organized in paragraphs so that information can be clearly plucked out of a long article.
Most people skim for one little gem of knowledge, so don't make them hunt.
Next make sure your title is eye-catching and your resource box is straightforward.
You want them to be drawn in by the first thing they read, and ready to follow one simple step to learn more by the end.
The next step to great article marketing is having relevant content.
Good grammar is nice, but it's expected.
No one ever bought a cow because it had black and white spots.
The article has to do what it's supposed to in a unique way.
That means you can't plagiarize, or else readers will feel that they could have gone anywhere for the same information.
You can't simply expound on all the research there is left to do, or no one will see a point in reading at all.
Finally, you don't just gloss over the topic; really stick to the important details that prove you looked far and wide to find the answers.
These strategies to researching will make you and your readers feel that when the article's done, it's worth the time it took both to write and to read.
Do all these things, and your work may still get left in the dust.
If you're too serious about article marketing, you might forget your original goals: to get your work read and respected.
That is, if all you do around every turn is point out what a great researcher you are or how unique your opinion is, no one will want to wade through for the facts.
Remember that if you need to point out something that is obvious, clear, or certain, the reader will already know it.
That applies to you too! If it's obvious that you're the only one smart enough to put these puzzle pieces together in such a way, your reader will know from their own research and doesn't need you to tell them.
So what happens if you write a beautiful, accessible, knowledgeable article and your article marketing campaign is successful, and people are quoting you all over the internet? Maybe one in thirty people who read your article will come to your actual website.
Not to worry though! Those people will be interested in what you have to say and offer already.
And if you can get 1,000 people to read your article on other website, you can probably get 30 to come back to your own and buy something.
