Every single book regarding the theory of probability will tell you that is very difficult to win the lottery. They will demonstrate this by telling you that if you drop a coin it will hit the ground on one of its two faces. In this case the probability is- head or tail. The next step: if you take in consideration a die €" the chance that one of the faces will hit the ground is 1/6, because every die has six parts. Now, the odds that number 6 will hit are 1/6, but the odds for this number to hit twice in a row are 1/36.
From this point of view, more numbers there are, the smaller are the chances for each one of them to hit. In spite of all this, is it possible to elaborate some exact strategies to win the lottery?

This example only proves once again that in some cases is better to measure seven times and cut once and also that the modern science can be very useful in taking the right decision.
The final answer is that the more you know about the game, the more you use various game strategies, the bigger your chances are to win some lottery prizes.
