This is for Fries, my first kitty kat

Nothing more then a fluff of fur
Entered my life on 27th July 2007
A lazy Friday evening
In a yellow and red paper bag
Tiny meow seek to get out and hungry too
A precious gift to accompany me on lonely days by other half
Suddenly my life has changed and centered around a furry four legged friend
Little Friday, precious bundle of fur
Rushed to the vet for not wanting to eat
With fever and flu, night spent at the vet
Sleepless nights till baby Fries is able to eat on his own
Strong enough to play
Pitter patter of tiny feet welcoming me home from work everyday
Security guard while I shower
Companion while I cook and throughout the day
Guardian angel at my room door at night
Suki, friend, play mate, and companion here to stay
More fun in life now, time to be monkeys together
Play tag in the mornings
Hide and seek at night

Fries Meow Meow growing big and fat and playful too
Salsa in the afternoon on the piano, mom's prayer cupboard
On the dining table and on the sofa
Not forgetting the occasional siasta on the radio
Why won't you let me work? Temptation of a notebook as a bed too much to be let up
My personal masseuse, with claws sharp as nails
Day came when the wonders of a view from a window was exciting
On kitchen counter top, step ladder by window or held precious in my arms
To sniff and view the outdoors, too precious to let go

Unexpected and unforeseen
Baby Fries had to be let go, only 8 months
To ease the pain of suffering, unwarranted and unexpected
Baby Fries know that I love you very much and will always always keep you in my heart
No matter where I go in my life, Dreams of growing old together gone
Never forget us here, pining for you, missing you….wait for us there on the other side, at the Rainbow Bridge, for that joyous day when we will meet and play again…you, me, Suki, Tam Tam. Oleng and Abang too
Oversized tufted ears, white eye liner, copper speckled belly, motorboat purr, stumped tail, white muzzle….and the softest of kisses
