Human body can be defined as entire arrangement life form. Human body part consists of head, neck, torso, two arms and two legs. The cells are basic unit of life. External body parts:-
Head is an oval shaped uppermost part of the body, joined by neck with the trunk. The front side of the head called face has four sense organs such as two eyes, nose and a mouth. Head lodges brain which is an important organ of our body. The sense organ sends different message to the brain such as eyes send images which helps human beings to see. Nose sends message of smell. Nose also does the work of breathing. Mouth sends the message of taste. Ears are placed on two sides of the head and send message of sound to the brain which helps human being to hear. Skin is the largest organ in the body it covers the entire structure of human body and it is a sense organ as well which helps the human being to feel heat, cold, pain.
Neck is a part of the body which connects the head with the trunk. It helps to hold up the head and helps in movement of the head in different direction.
Trunk is the broadest part of the body. This part of the body is connected to all other parts of the body. Trunk lodges all the important internal organs of the body such as heart, lungs, stomach, liver, kidneys, small and large intestine, and reproductive organs of the body. The heart continuously pumps the blood to all the organs and provides them oxygen and nutrition. Lung help in breathing. Stomach breaks down food to provide nutrition to keep body healthy.
Body is provided with two arms and two legs. Arms are present on upper part of body where as legs are present in lower part of the body. Arms are present one on each side; arm consists of shoulder, upper arm, lower arms, hand and finger. Arm does the work of holding and carrying. Legs consist of hip, thigh, knee, lower leg, and feet with fingers. Legs take the burden of the whole body, legs help us to jump, run and walk.
