Very many people would like to sell on eBay but just do not know how.
There are a number of eBay profit strategies that I can show you right now that are also basic eBay knowledge.
eBay is making it easier all the time to sell things on its website.
If you visit eBay.
com and set up your account.
Your next step is to select the "Sell" tab and select your category.
The most important advice that I can offer at this stage is to not spend too much time fussing over what category your item belongs in if you are not sure.
People do not surf by category, the vast majority of eBay searchers will only search by keyword.
This brings me to the single most important point, selecting the right title.
Never fill your valuable space with catchy phrases and symbols such as "L@@K!" or "Super!".
When I am looking for an product on eBay, I have never entered the phrase "L@@K!" in my search box, and I'm going go out on a limb and assume that you haven't either.
You only have 55 characters, as of this writing, to make your title the most powerful and keyword rich that you possibly can.
For example, if you are selling an MP3 player, you want to include any attributes that someone might actually be looking for: 8 gigabytes, (or 8GB to save space) ,Sansa MP3 player, earphones.
Avoid what we refer to as keyword spamming.
This is what happens when you say that something is "just like an iPod!" The reason is that anyone searching for iPod will happen across your listing when it really is not an iPod.
You will also have to make a decision about whether to do it as an Auction or Buy it Now.
Auctions are slightly more expensive to run, but Buy it Now! will not give you as much exposure, the choice is yours.
Finally, you need to create your ad copy.
Ad copy is just a slightly fancy way of saying that you need to describe your item in your auction.
