Don"t Hesitate To Get A Hearing Test

Jenna had been a professional audiologist for 10 years, when she finally deciding to start her own center.
As a new owner, there were many things she wanted to implement that she thought would help improve her patients' experience.
One of the things she ran into while working in her earlier days were people who weren't necessarily in favor of getting a hearing test.
This was something that she wanted to fix.
The truth is many people didn't see it as being important.
Therefore, when they came in to get a hearing test, they didn't have the best attitude.
So, one day when was trying to get acquainted with her new job as "boss," she overheard one of her audiologists, having trouble with a patient.
"Do, you really have to use all of those stupid devices?" asked the patient.
"I told you I can hear perfectly well.
I'm only here because my wife keeps bothering me about it.
" "I'm sorry that you feel this way sir, but this is a very important procedure," said the specialist.
As Jenna listened to the conversation, she just knew she had to intervene.
"I don't mean to eavesdrop, but I couldn't help but hearing sir," she said.
"So, you don't believe you need to get a hearing test?" The patient looked up, both startled and disgusted.
"Of course, I don't need one," he said.
"I believe that's already been established.
" "Well, sir I've ran into a few people with your same attitude and most of them have come out of the test finding out that they actually had more ear damage than they thought," Jenna said.
"Well, thanks for your concern, but I'm not one of those people," he said.
After a few minutes, Jenna finally gave up.
A few months later, she was surprised to see that the man had just walked in for another visit.
Remembering their last encounter, she tried to keep her distance as not to annoy him.
However, she noticed that he was coming up to her.
"Hi ma'am, I don't know if you remember me, but I was here a few months ago," he said.
"Of course, I remember you," she said.
"How can we help you today, are you coming in for another hearing test.
" Before speaking, the man put his head down in disappointment and slight shame.
"Well, I'm actually here to see if I can get a hearing aid," he said.
"Oh, that's nothing to be ashamed of, we can definitely help you with that," said Jenna.
"No, you don't understand," he said.
"Do, you remember how I acted the last time I was here? Well, my wife had been trying to get me to come for a testing procedure for years.
" The patient shook his head in disappointment.
He said, "I know for a fact, if I had come and gotten the hearing test earlier, I wouldn't be trying to get an aid today.
"
