How to Cinch a Wintec Synthetic Western Saddle

    • 1). Place the saddle pad on your horse's back. Flip the stirrups, girth and cinch up over the saddle seat and place the saddle on top of the pad.

    • 2). Pull the girth down and let it hang at your horse's side. Walk to the opposite side of the saddle and pull down the leather cinch.

    • 3). Reach under your horse's belly and pull the girth toward you. Pull the cinch strap through the ring on the girth.

    • 4). Pull the end of the leather cinch up and loop it down through the ring on the saddle. Pass the cinch over to the right and up through the other side of that ring. Pull the end of the cinch down through the loop you just made.

    • 5). Pull up on the part of the cinch that is closest to you, while at the same time pulling down on the end of the cinch. Continue doing this until the girth is just tight enough so that you can fit your hand comfortably between the cinch and your horse's body.

    • 6). Mount your horse and ride him around for a few minutes, then dismount and check the tightness of the cinch. Tighten the cinch if needed, then remount and enjoy your ride.
