- 1). Join the Alzheimer's Association. The Alzheimer's Association is the largest Alzheimer's awareness and research fundraiser in the United States. This organization should help your community project or educational institute in finding grants for awareness projects.
- 2). Contact the National Institutes of Health, or NIH. The NIH is one of the central grant-giving agencies of the United States government for both medical research and education. Alzheimer's awareness grants could be available through the NIH offices.
- 3). Network with the National Institute of Aging, or NIA. The NIA is a sub-agency of the NIH and has many educational tools and will help you find specific education grants concerning Alzheimer's education. This agency is especially helpful since Alzheimer's does impact the elderly the most.
- 4). Investigate the grants the Department of Health and Human Services are annually distributing. DHHS has many institutions, such as the Administration on Aging, which distributes grants to public education projects for Alzheimer's awareness.
