How to Clean Boxwood Tools

    • 1). Scrub the tools with the 0000 steel wool to remove any large pieces of dirt or other contaminants from the surface of the wood tools.

    • 2). Rub the surface of the wood tools with a non-woven scrubbing pad to remove any roughness left by the steel wool.

    • 3). Mix two parts boiled linseed oil and one part paint stripper in a large container. Soak the wood tools in this mixture for 48 hours.

    • 4). Remove the tools from the liquid, then rub the wood with a soft cloth to remove any excess oil or contaminants from the surface of the wood. If the wood still seems dirty, repeat the scrubbing and soaking process until the wood is as clean you desire.
