First, you will need to make a double boiler system.
This includes a quart size boiling pan and a clean coffee can with all labels removed.
Put enough water in the bottom of the pan to float the coffee can.
Measure out one pound of soy wax and pour into the coffee can.
Heat wax on low until melted and desired pour temp is reached.
Stir wax with a wooden spoon.
Metal may get hot and plastic will melt at these temperatures.
When wax is at melting point put in desired scent and color.
Some scents may have a flash point temperature that they need to be added at.
Stir mixture until color is completely dissolved and scent is well blended.
Wait until wax is cool enough to put gloved hands in.
Have a plate and doll stand set up to prop bear in the desired drying position.
The plate is used to keep wax from dripping onto the counter.
Do not put wax bear directly on wooden furniture.
The oil in the wax may ruin it.
Put on a pair of heavy duty rubber gloves.
Put the small(under 6" sitting) ordinary teddy bear into the wax blend.
You may want to avoid bears with colors on them that may bleed, such as red.
Make sure the entire bear is covered and then squeeze out the excess wax.
Then, place the bear in the desired position on the plate, using the doll stand to hold it in the sitting position.
Use a fork to fluff the fur before the wax dries.
Let the bear dry completely before removing.
When completely dried the wax bear should not be placed on wooden furniture.
A plate may be placed under it.
Then after removing the bear from the doll stand use a blow dryer and fork to fluff out the teddybear's fur where it was flattened during the process.
The bear may be decorated with props or however you choose.
In order to keep the scent of the bear you may want to wrap it in cellophane.
After a few months to renew the scent a blow dryer and fork my be used to re-fluff the teddybear's fur and heat up the wax scent.
A scent spray bottle may also be used to renew the scent.
