Do you still remember watching documentaries or adventures about the mysteries of the ancient world?

The ancient world was riddled with mystery and intrigue. Normally, the ancient structures were built because of their beliefs of the mythical world. However, there are some who proposes that such structures were inspired and created by extraterrestrial beings.

Whatever their motivation from constructing these, here are four of the ancient structures that were created out of nowhere, such are:

Easter Island Statues

According to history, Polynesians who sailed the vast Pacific Ocean were the builders of the head statues. The first colonizers of the island arrived around 300 - 400 A.D.

Originally called Rapa Nui by Polynesians, it has 900 giant head structures called moai. The reason and the means of building these structures still remains a mystery - even to scientists.

The islands' native residents suffered from moai-construction frenzy. The warring families tried to out build other families' moai. This caused uproar and deadly - cannibalistic - skirmishes which caused the reduction of the islands' natural resources.

Stonehenge

The prehistoric people of Britain build the stone temple for reasons still argued until now. Around 3000 to 2000 BC, they erected the large rock structures. This was among the highly-debated ancient structures; experts proposed different reasons why Stonehenge was built.

It may be astronomical clock, a celestial guide, an ancient burial ground, or a stone temple. Despite recent archeological and scientific findings, experts also wondered how the ancient builders constructed the Stonehenge. Puzzling, isn't it?

Nazca Lines

The drawings on the desert in Peru are still a source of mystery to many. How can prehistoric people draw images without someone from the air supervising them?

One of the explanations about the lines is they are representations of heavenly figures. The lines also sdepict the ancient Paracas and Nazca cultures that existed between 400 and 650 AD.

The images, which mostly contains human and animal drawings, looks like they were carved by aliens. According to the famous astrological site, Sitio Hispano (Hispanic site), it suggests that this could be possible -- since experts are still unsure about the origins of the Nazca lines.

Pyramids of Egypt

We all know that the famous pyramids of Egypt were created as grand mausoleums for pharaohs. The first of the grandest pyramids is the Great Pyramids of Giza - which is the remaining of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

The pyramid dedicated for Khufu is the largest pyramid in the world, measuring 230 meters in base and standing 147 meters.

These pyramids are comparable to the Mayan pyramids like that of the El Mirador, which was primarily used for Astrologia Maya (Mayan Astrology).

Now I wonder, are these structures a coincidence or Mother Nature's gift?
