Volunteering Solutions just started providing placement in one of the Europe's most traveled country that is Spain. Volunteer in Spain and experience a once in a lifetime, fun and challenging experience where you can get immersed in the local culture, learn new skills and meet new people. Our volunteer programs in Spain are suitable for anyone on a Gap year, career break, families looking to volunteer together or anyone interested in short term volunteer project. We offer programs in partnership with local organizations in the Valencia Region in the Eastern part of Spain. Valencia is a coastal city with almost one million residents.
If you want to volunteer abroad in a structured, organized program, it is often a good idea to arrange it before you leave home. Planning ahead also gives you the opportunity to decide exactly what kind of volunteering you would like to do. There are so many different options, from placements that focus on interacting with people such as teaching or childcare, more physical work in construction or sport, or working with animals. Those who look for volunteering opportunities while abroad are likely to have less opportunity for choice in choosing how to spend their time as a volunteer.
A volunteer placement also allows travellers the opportunity to spend a solid amount of time in one place, which can be particularly appealing to travellers who have spent months living out of a rucksack. By committing yourself to a volunteer placement, you can really experience daily life in the area you are working in, perhaps staying with a host family, and gaining a cultural insight that is often hard to achieve if you follow the standard travellers' routes. Choosing to volunteer abroad not only gives you the opportunity to make a positive influence on the country you are travelling in, but also allows you to gain an authentic experience that would otherwise be impossible.
In Spain, we provide program placement in 2 different programs, that is: -
1. Marine Conservation Work
2. Volunteer with Children
Marine Conservation Work: - The Conservation Project is located in Denia, a traditional fishing town 100 kilo meters south of Valencia and home of the Marine Reserve in the Cape of San Antonio. Volunteers participating in these projects will learn new skills and contribute to minimize the environmental impact of their travel and get involved in important conservation and research programs. Volunteer tasks include underwater cleaning; learn to accurately identify the targeted species, survey and data collection of underwater habitats in danger and helping with the logistical operations.
Volunteer with Children: - Volunteers will help supporting a playing and learning area for children at risk of social exclusion and also contribute to create helping network for marginal neighborhoods. Volunteer tasks include helping primary and high school students with their homework, teach English, play games with the kids, organize all kinds of cultural activities, serve as mentors and role models and are an international friend for the children.
