Fuerzabruta tickets are now available at Stubhub.com!
You're standing in the center of a dark room, a crowd pushing against you as you all stare up. Floating above your heads is a platform with a treadmill on it, quickly whirring as a man in a white coat runs full-tilt on it. Obstacles are swung into his path—like a plaster wall that explodes as he leaps through it—and he keeps on running. Half an hour later, you might be just inches below a sheet of glass as women swim across it, or performers slide around in what looks like milk.
You've just experienced the surreal, colorful performance art of "Fuerzabruta" (Spanish for "brute force"). The show is now running in New York City, but will only be there for a limited time. It's the brain child of producer David Binder, who received lots of attention after creating this show's predecessor, "De La Guarda." Similar in style and design, that show ran for six years before closing. "Fuerzabruta" is not expected to run for as long.
That means if you're interested in seeing this once in a lifetime experience, you're going to want to seek out "Fuerzabruta" tickets as soon as possible. The show has already created a buzz after being the focus of an episode of "Regis and Kelly," and you can bet people are lining up to buy tickets.
Like Montreal-based Cirque Du Soleil, this show weaves a loose narrative around strange performance art—but it has a twist. The whole performance is designed to be more like a rock concert, where people stand in a crowd and share their delight as a group. It becomes a tribal affair. The audience stands in an open area and each spectacle approaches them, sometimes crawling slowly through the crowd, other times floating right above them. Either way, audience members are sure to experience something they won't find anywhere else. It's a celebration of life and art!
The show has already toured through South America and Europe, receiving wide acclaim from both critics and audience members that spread its fame through word of mouth. Don't miss out on this exciting performance!
