1Locate the "Standard" menu option from your Visual Studio toolbox. Within this toolbox, you will find the labeled "Image Map" control. Click on this control and drag it to the desired location on the Visual Studio page you are working on.

Open the "Properties" menu to display a new window. While working in this menu, you can select the image that you want to use for the new Image Map function. Within the property box, type the URL of the graphic that you want to use for this Image Map.

Choose the type of hotspot you want to create for your new Image Map. Within "Properties," go to the "Hot Spots" tab. Hit "Add" to define the different hotspots you want to make. Your choices will include a circle, rectangle or polygon.

Set the Hot Spot Mode property while working in the same window. Specify the web page location for the different hotspots located within the new image you have created. Before you close the window, choose the "Navigation URL" option. To save all of your changes, select "OK."
