Tips For Selling In The Information Marketing Business

When it comes to selling information products, nothing is better than selling them on your own site.
You can charge what you want, add a lot of bonuses to it to increase its perceived value, and you don't have to get into a price war with someone else in your niche.
Plus, you can create an info product, turn it into PDF format, and have it ready for sale.
It really is that simple.
In today's lesson, I want to share with you some tips on how to make your information products sell fast.
People in the information marketing business always wonder how they can get more new sales, and are baffled by the thought of possibly making sales around the clock.
But all of this can be solved with a good marketing strategy.
Here's a strategy that you can use to have success with selling in the information marketing business: 1) Sell to existing customers This is just marketing 101.
80% of your profits will come from sales from the backend.
Backend marketing or backend selling is simply the process of selling to your existing customers.
And I mean think about it.
Who else would be better towards marketing and selling to than the people who just bought something from you - and that likes you? You're more likely to get a sale from an existing customer than you are from a brand new lead or prospect.
To stay in contact with your existing customers, all you have to do is follow up on them with a simple autoresponder.
A good autoresponder that you can use is something called "Aweber".
They're very reputable, and very easy to use.
Here's another way to get more sales for your info product: 2) Sell tangible information products instead of digital ones Do you understand the difference between a tangible info product as opposed to a digital one? If you don't, then let me break it down to you quickly.
A tangible information product are products like: books, manuals, CD's, DVD's, paid newsletters, and etc.
Basically something that you can "feel" with your hands.
Digital products are products such as: eBooks, webinars, teleseminars, software, MP3's, articles, and videos from YouTube.
All of these kinds of products can be immediately delivered to your customers or prospects.
You don't have to ship anything off, nor do you have to deal with driving back and forth to the post office.
But you should know that the tangible information products often sell for much more than a digital one.
For example if you were selling an eBook online, you would find that the price range is around $7 to $37.
If you were selling a complete course full of tangible manuals, CD's, DVD's, and a monthly newsletter...
expect to pay around $300 and above for it.
Both kinds of information products are awesome to make money from, and they both have their pros and cons.
It's up to you to decide which kind you want to sell, and how much you want to sell it for.
Good luck with having success in the information marketing business.
