Each New Year always starts with a January Sale and gives us all a chance to find those much required bargains that we have been waiting for.
From a personal view points if I need any luxurious products I always wait till after the Christmas period has come to an end and get them in January, it's a fantastic way of saving money that can go towards other significant things such as paying bills, settling loans, keeping petrol and tax on the car and helping mortgage repayments.
I've always considered what is the point in spending say £1,000 on a piece of furniture when you can get that exact same item so much cheaper in the January sales? It seems only right to wait and pay a substantial sum less.
With the credit crunch at its peak this year won't be getting any better a lot of us will be budgeted to a minimum this Christmas time, unless you have put aside money each month mainly for Christmas presents.
Nevertheless don't let this credit crunch ruin your Christmas or New Year, there are many ways that a budget can go a long way to make the New Year successful for you, and the key one is holding out for the January sales.
With mainly all the high street stores reducing prices as well as Internet prices falling - it's a great enticement to either bulk buy or pick up a couple of things that you could do with, that will come in practical in your everyday life.
What you could do is buy a small present at Christmas time for relations and those close to you then save the bigger presents until the January sales.
For example, a bottle of sherry and some Belgian chocolates will go down a storm for a Christmas idea then you can get a nice unexpected gift in the January sales, such as flying lessons, a pampering session or a driving experience present.
This will be a superb idea to start someone's New Year off with style.
