Amyloid-Beta Imaging in Prodromal Alzheimer's

Amyloid-Beta Imaging in Prodromal Alzheimer's

Conclusions

Aβ imaging with F-florbetaben PET accurately predicts individuals who will progress from MCI to Alzheimer's dementia. Visual scan reading provides equivalent results to the optimal cut-off SUVR value when categorising scans as either positive or negative. As disease progresses, HA may overtake Aβ in driving memory impairment. FBB PET is also a sensitive technique to longitudinally assess Aβ accumulation in the brain.
