I have a friend that puts together her own mixture of food herbs in order to make a health drink for new mothers that are breastfeeding.
She sells her product as far away as Malaysia and makes a good income doing so too.
She is able to earn money at home making $50 an hour average.
You might be surprised to learn how many things you can put together yourself and sell for a profit.
You do not even have to make your own product if you want to avoid getting your hands dirty.
You can purchase straight from a manufacturer and either run a drop-ship business or stock inventory yourself.
Drop-shipping saves you time, but can cost more money while stocking inventory can save you money, but costs you more time.
You have to really account for everything and weigh all the pros and cons in order to determine exactly what type of business is right for you.
If you plan to travel a lot, then you certainly will want to take advantage of a drop-ship or fulfillment option.
If you have a storage location and do not mind the daily to do's of a business (shipping and handling) and want to squeeze out as much money as possible, then you are likely to want to do your own storage.
You might even want to try a combination of all three strategies in order to see what works best for you OR as a strategy to offer your customers better service.
For example, it might be easier to drop-ship when customers what to place a rather large order.
A customer placing an order requiring overnight shipping might also be a reason to adjust the way you process orders.
