Ten years after September 11th, the United States of America is the strongest nation in the world.
Terrorists have been scattered and are in retreat.
America remains united pursuing those who would harm the people of this great country.
On September 11, 2011 America and its people were viciously attacked without warning by terrorists who hijacked four civilian passenger jets.
Terrorist gained control of these planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon.
One of the planes did not make it to its intended target and crashed into a field in Shanksville, PA.
These terrorist targeted symbols of American strength and success not only to destroy life and property, but to attack the values and freedoms that the American people hold dear.
Through the efforts of the military, intelligence agencies and law enforcement America has relentlessly pursued terrorists and those who would seek to harm America.
The United States has captured or eliminated terrorist leaders, including the terrorist leader who was responsible for the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Law enforcement, the military and intelligence agencies have been continually at work protecting the United States since September 11, 2001.
Because of the work and dedication of the brave men and women of those forces, terrorists have not carried out an attack on America since 9/11.
Although ten years have passed since the senseless act of terror, the passage of time has not diminished the pain caused by the loss of nearly 3,000 lives on September 11, 2001.
The loss of life and property was terrible.
It is right and just that those who perished in the attacks of September 11th be honored and remembered.
Out of respect for those who perished and the families they left, and with unshaken resolve, we must never forget them.
Thanks and gratitude is due to the men and women in the armed forces of the United States who are now risking their lives in the defense of this great nation.
With the resolve and the strength of the American people, the United States will continue to be a bastion of freedom and liberty.
The Towers may have fallen, the Pentagon may have been attacked, but the American spirit endures and the flag still stands for freedom.
Freedom and liberty will never be extinguished by cowardly acts of terrorism.
Freedom and liberty will always outshine the darkness of evil.
God bless those who perished on 9/11, and the families, friends and loved ones they left.
God bless the United States of America.
