This results in the second of the two measurements for business: profits.
Yet, the first measurement, relationships, is almost never counted.
So, how can you build a solid business without this measurement?Answer simply is that you cannot.
Does your business measure profits?Of course, because profits are necessary if the business wants to continue to survive and more importantly thrive.
Does your business measure relationships?Probably, not.
Relationships are talked about, but very little time is spent on measuring this critical component of business.
Maybe you are thinking you cannot measure relationships?Even if you could, it would be very hard.
Henry Ford had the best response to that type of thinking:Whether you think you can or you think you cannot, either way you are right.
Of course you can measure relationships.
This may mean that you must think out of the box.
And what I have learned is that many people think that they are open minded, but truly are not.
One of the activities I share with all customers helps to show how in the box their thoughts are.
Using the following set of numbers, please place the number 1 in the logical sequence.
The numbers are:
8,5,4,9,7,6,3,2,0If the answer is not given within the first 60 seconds, I know that the participants are truly stuck in their preconditioned behaviors from their earlier experiences.
Any business can measure relationships.
For example, referrals are one way to calculate relationships.
These are given by customers, friends and families, vendors and centers of influence.
Tracking them would help any business to increase sales given that up to 80% of all new sales come from referrals.
