Even though many parents and caregivers may not be aware of it, the truth of the matter is that bullying has a negative effect both for the victim and perpetrator of the bullying act.
The effects can be categorized as either short term or long term and it's your responsibility as a parent to protect your child from them.
The problem is that bullying needs to be taken very seriously for the problems it causes to all the children who are involved it.
Even when children are able to ignore the bullying they go through in their early lives, there are all indications that children will undergo stressful moments whenever bullying occurs to them.
These stressful moments could lead to other problems such as trouble in school as well as possibilities of experimentation with drug abuse.
When it is not stopped in good time some of the problems could stay permanently.
There are those children who undergo bullying who later turn out to develop social interaction problems that may remain with them for the rest of their lives.
They may find it difficult to make and keep friends as adults which will make them social misfits.
Even though not all victims of bullying sufferlong term effects, it is always good to be cautious in order to eliminate any such possibilities.
On the other hand bullies have their own set of problems as well.
And that is why they pick on others to terrorize them.
Most bullies always get into trouble at home as well as with school authorities and if this is allowed it also could develop into a long term problem.
When they are not stopped in good time they never get to learn the correct way to deal with any of their problems.
This type of aggression more often than not continues into adult life making them vulnerable to commit crimes of aggression even as adults.
