Biggest Private Yacht Features Anti-Photo Technology

Very important people (VIPs), in particular the celebrities, often face the challenge of keeping their privacy without being caught by the paparazzi.
But sometimes, they just couldn't hide from these photographers hungry to get photos of popular people which they then sell to magazines for a profit.
And so even while on vacation at a remote island or sailing in the middle of the sea, these paparazzi still manage to secretly take shots.
But a new technology is now in place that these VIPs can utilize to protect their privacy.
They should take a hint from this Russian billionaire who owns the world's largest private yacht.
What's most interesting about this high-end and high-tech yacht called Eclipse is the fact that it has been equipped with an anti-photo laser shield.
This anti-photography system is meant to ward off paparazzi in case they want to take photos of the owner and his guests while on board sailing somewhere for leisure.
When switched on, it is capable of producing lasers that monitor the surroundings of the yacht.
In the event the shield detects a CCD sensor from stalking photographers, it shines a laser light at the camera thereby preventing any photographer from taking photos.
This anti-photo shield was said to have been installed in 2009 at a cost of more than $1 billion.
Reports have it that it can also be easily switched off to allow guests on board to snap photos.
But once paparazzi are seen lurking around, the system is switched on.
This Eclipse yacht is owned by Roman Abramovich who owns several homes, a huge art collection, a 40-man private army and the most expensive luxury yachts in the world.
Of all his yachts, the Eclipse is the biggest measuring 533 feet high.
It has two helicopter pads, two swimming pools, a disco hall, a mini submarine and a missile defense system.
Now, who can beat that? The paparazzi often get themselves into trouble when they sell photos of hot celebrities to certain publications such as tabloids, magazines and newspapers and the celebrities see them.
Their so-called intrusive behavior has been a major issue as they take away a person's right to privacy.
They're present where celebrities are present whether at movie premiers, fashion shows and other occasions.
And that's one of the major reasons why many stars have hired bodyguards to keep these photographers from going near them or taking photos of their family while not working.
Professional photographers especially the paparazzi normally use DSLRs that are capable of taking photos in a speedy manner at say, five pictures every second.
That is their asset the reason why they are able to snap pictures of VIPs with less effort.
The brands they use vary.
Commonly, they have Canon, Sony and Nikon (D300, D3's, D700's and D2X).
However, experts agree that brand is not important because it's still the skill of a photographer that matters in being able to capture stolen shots.
They also have various lenses that allow them to shoot at long distances capturing every move the person makes.
