When you are organising a business conference that is going to last for several days, you need to pay extra attention to accommodation options for all delegates. For best results, go for resorts or hotels that offer self contained accommodation options. These places include food and various other facilities in their service packages, which others will usually not offer.
Self contained accommodations offer a lot more these days than they used to
However, nowadays, many conference meeting venues are offering self-contained accommodation options, which is why you need to make sure the ones you are going for will satisfy attendees and delegates. Gone are the days when the name self contained accommodation meant little more than a room with a comfortable bed, good food and room service for 16 hours a day. Today, resorts are throwing in every facility they can possibly offer, including spa facilities, catered meals and even 24/7 access to fully-equipped gyms, all within the premises, in order to sweeten the deal! Why should you settle for anything less, then? Verify whether the resort offers the following facilities, before you ask your client to sign the contract with them:
1. Broadband Internet connection: It's not like delegates will only work during the event. They may have to browse the Internet or send mails at night, as well. So, make sure all rooms have non-stop access to broadband Internet connections. Technical assistance should also be available, so that any disruption in broadband service can be resolved quickly.
2. Accommodation with spa: Spending long hours on hardback chairs can cause anyone to suffer from pain in the neck and back. Having access to spa facilities will mean attendees and delegates can go for massages after event, thereby getting relief from those ailments quickly. Some resorts may have deals with spas located nearby. This is usually more than good enough, provided the facilities offered are proportional to the services provided. For instance, spas using aromatic oils in massages will likely charge more than spas using ordinary massage oils.
3. Gym facilities: Having common gym equipment set up in a room is no longer good enough. Find out whether the resort has a certified trainer present, to ensure delegates do not overexert themselves, or use equipment in ways that could be dangerous. The trainer should also have some knowledge about sports medicine, so that any delegate getting injured while training can be treated quickly.
Finally, make sure the service charges are justifiable
Beware of overpriced services offered at some resorts offering self contained accommodation options. These resorts may offer excellent services, but the charges for those will bleed your client's budget dry. Try to find resorts offering comparable services at more affordable rates. More often than not, you may find one such resort close to the overcharging one.
So, what are you waiting for? Start searching for conference meeting venues with self contained accommodation options. Keep the above pointers in mind when searching. That should help you find the perfect resort for your requirements soon, without much hassle.
