The Year of the Rabbit - Usagidoshi

It is the year of the rabbit (usagidoshi). The Japanese believe that people who are born in the same animal year share similar personality and character. People born in the year of the rabbit are smooth talkers, talented, ambitious, virtuous and reserved. The Japanese word for a rabbit is "usagi".

Compared to the other zodiac animals such as the ox (ushi) or tiger (tora), there are not many expressions including the word rabbit.

"Nito o ou mono wa itto o mo ezu (??????????????)" means, "If you run after two hares, you will catch neither." "Datto no gotoshi (?????)" means, "with lighting speed, as fast as one can."
