- 1). Purchase canvas paper. The best place to start is with your printer manufacturer. Manufacturers design their paper to work best with their printers. If you can't find any there, check out the resources below. Purchase extra paper, as it may take a couple of tries to get your print to work.
- 2). Load your paper in the printer and print a sample page before you print a photo. Canvas paper has a print side, so check that the paper is loaded correctly before you do your final print. On your printer menu, find an option that says "print sample page" or "demo page." This will save ink and ensure that the paper is compatible with your printer and that you have loaded it correctly.
- 3). Open your photo on your computer.
- 4). In print options, select settings. Set the print quality to the highest setting possible, and changed the paper type. Since canvas tends to be much thicker than regular paper, use a setting for the heaviest paper possible, such as heavy card stock or specialty paper.
- 5). Exit settings, and hit the print button. Wait for canvas print to dry.
- 6). Frame your print or stretch the canvas over a wood frame, gallery-style.
