Instructions
1Download the appropriate motorcycle handbook from your government licensing agency or stop by your local location. For most states, the motorcycle permit study guide is the Motorcycle Operators Manual (MOM). Print and study until you can pass the exam.
2
Visit your local license office and pass the written or computer exam. Most offices will also make you take an eye exam.
3
Pay the appropriate fee and you will receive your permit usually right then.
4
Understand what your permit allows. Limitations vary but usually involve time of day, passenger, helmet and freeway restrictions.
5
Congratulations on getting your motorcycle permit. This is just the beginning of your journey. See related eHow articles to obtain local motorcycle training and how to get your license for your specific state.
