Sleep onset insomnia- this happens when there is difficulty in trying to fall asleep at the desired time, or even difficulty in trying to wake up at the desired time as well.
Altitude insomnia- difficulty of falling and maintaining sleep because of being in a higher place.
This can be accompanied with symptoms like headaches and fatigue.
Periodic insomnia- being awake for 24 to 48 hours, thus having sleep that is delayed.
Alcohol dependent insomnia- this happens when the person still needs alcohol to be able to fall asleep.
It is his sedative.
Transient insomnia- usually caused by stress, problems or environmental factors that make a person awake for less than a week.
